As background for anyone else reading this, a dear old freind of mine & I are moving our discussion of religion and politics to this blog, partly because we have apparently offended a freind of his that doesn't like my views. Whatever. Plus, facebook doesn't lend itself to an indepth discussion. here we go,but I doubt I can keep up.
Right wing christians hate gays because the Bible says there are an abomination. Based on that one word some churchs are working to deny equal rights. But the word abomination us used a lot. Based on the scripture in the picture, logically God hates shrimp and other bottom feeders, so we shouldn't eat them.
Remember the bible has been used to support slavery of blacks, go to war and more recently to stop inter-racial marriage
